Scientist,
Educator, Lifter.

Combining science and experience to educate lifters and coaches.

I believe that a genuinely and truly evidence-based approach to training and nutrition should be guided by the current available scientific evidence as well as professional experience while factoring in individual preferences and idiosyncrasies.

Researcher

Research has been my passion since I finished my undergraduate degree. In addition to my PhD which was on “the minimum effective training dose for strength”, I actively collaborate with researchers from all over the world on a plethora of studies.

At the moment, I am a Visiting Scholar at the Applied Muscle Development Lab at Lehman College in New York City where our research revolves around muscle strength and hypertrophy, exercise performance, and strength sports.

Check out my ResearchGate profile for all our studies.

Coach

I’ve worked with hundreds of individuals from high level competitive strength and physique athletes to recreationally active individuals.

Helping individuals from a range of sporting and professional backgrounds get stronger and improve their body composition has allowed me to create a proactive, reactive and adaptive coaching approach.

Educator

I have been lecturing at Universities in the UK since 2016, teaching a variety of subjects from Sports Nutrition to Strength & Conditioning. In addition to lecturing, I often present at various conferences and seminars around the world.

Lifter

My passion for Exercise Science and Coaching was born from my passion for lifting. I have been a recreational lifter, with some competitive powerlifting experience, since I was 16 years old. My love for resistance training and nutrition has kept growing since I started lifting weights and that eventually led me to pursuing a career as an educator and researcher in Exercise Science.

As a coach & educator, my aim is to educate lifters and coaches on all things muscle and strength building, including any recent scientific developments that may be of practical importance.
